  • What will you do in this role?
  • Reporting to the Circuit Pack Test Engineering Development Manager, the selected candidate will assist with development and implementation of automated calibration processes and manufacturing test for a variety of optical amplifier, switching and monitoring products. This will include but limited to:
  • • Developing software for automated calibration and test
  • • Working closely with R&D teams (optical, electronic, and software) to design and enhance methodologies that optimize product performance and ensure compliance to specifications
  • • Working with remote manufacturing facilities to introduce and support new processes
  • • Problem solving through teamwork and technical approaches
  • • Ability and desire to travel 10-20% of the time internationally
  • What experience will allow you the greatest success in this role?
  • • 2-5 years experience with software-driven instrument control, either in a research or manufacturing role
  • • Knowledge of optical communication principles/technology and solid experience with VB6 (VB.NET preferred)
  • • 2-5 years experience bringing products from development to production in a high tech environment
  • • Logical problem solving skills, technical and mathematical aptitude
  • • Proven ability to work within a team in a rapid time-to-market product development cycle
  • • BSc or MA in Science/Engineering Field
